After incorporating the Olympic trap bar into my routine, I've seen significant improvements in my strength and muscle development. The design is genius, and the bar's durability is impressive. It's a fantastic investment for anyone looking to enhance their workout experience and achieve better results.
I've been weightlifting for years, and the Olympic trap bar has become one of my favorite pieces of equipment. The hexagonal shape allows for a more natural movement, and the quality of construction is evident. It's an essential addition to any gym setup, whether you're a beginner or an experienced lifter.
This trap bar has revolutionized my home gym. The ergonomic design and comfortable grip make it a pleasure to use. It's a fantastic tool for building strength and muscle while minimizing the risk of injury. I highly recommend the Olympic trap bar to anyone serious about their fitness journey.
I was hesitant at first, but after trying the Olympic trap bar, I'm a convert. It provides a unique and challenging workout that targets muscles differently than a traditional barbell. The quality craftsmanship ensures it can handle heavy loads, making it a staple in my strength training regimen.
I can't say enough good things about the Olympic trap bar. The versatility it adds to my workout routine is unmatched. From deadlifts to shrugs, this bar has me covered. The solid construction and durable materials make it a wise investment for fitness enthusiasts of all levels
As someone who struggled with traditional deadlift form, the Olympic trap bar has been a revelation. The hexagonal shape allows for a more natural lifting position, reducing strain on my back and improving overall stability. Excellent quality and a must-have for anyone serious about strength training.
The Olympic trap bar is a game-changer! I love how it takes the stress off my lower back during deadlifts. The design is top-notch, providing a comfortable and secure grip. It has quickly become my go-to for heavy lifting sessions.
Price point is good but check wields. This absolutely does the intended purpose for a home gym with only 300lbs of weights.
This thing is well made and sturdy. Great for farmer's carry and shoulder work. If you want this type of equipment, this is a great choice.
This bar is heavy duty but I didn't realize that the distance between the grips is 29 inches. My natural grip with my arms hanging straight down is around 22 inches so when I use this bar my arms are splayed out at an uncomfortable position. If I wasn't a welder I would return it because I would not be able to use it like that especially with heavy weight but I do this kind of custom work every day and I'm going to make it into an adjustable width bar that gives me more options. I already modified it to accept standard weights!
?All my parts came in the box. Screws, washers, nuts etc. It's sturdy and holda more than enough weight.
A very well built sturdy hex bar. I love working out with this. I’m able to position myself so I don’t hurt my back like I do when RDLing free weights. It was a little difficult to put together as the holes didn’t match up great but that’s mostly because I over tightened the opposite side. I store this in my bedroom and bring it into my garage when working out so going through doorways can be a little tricky. All in all, a great piece of workout equipment and great addition to my gym! Would recommend!
The hex bar is really easy to assemble and very sturdy. Great purchase for the price.
Absolutely love this thing it is very versatile perfect for what I needed in my opinion outside of dumbbells this is the only way to do shrugs it's fantastic for deadlifts and if you're tall enough there's no issues with squats either also I take the weights off of it and set it up in between two taller objects and use it as a dip station it's even and balanced as in all the feet touch the ground at the same time so I don't have any kind of issue with rocking back and forth or being unstable I personally have mine set up between an old washer and dryer for when I do dips

Bought this for the kids to use for high school athletics. They really like this piece of equipment and is one of their favorites to use. Easy durable and price is right.
I can’t speak as a hard core weight lifter, but if you are a casual lifter just working out, this is perfect. My high school son uses it a lot.
I have had this bar for almost a year and it has performed perfectly. Keep in mind this is not the solid, one piece bars you may be used to in gyms and as such is not as heavy duty. I don't go extremely heavy so for my use so this bar has been perfect. It comes with rubber stops on each end to prevent the weights from being too close to your hands. I have had no issues with grip space or weight hitting my hands. The handles are smooth so grip can become a problem with heavier weight. Assembly was easy and the parts to the bar are of decent quality, no rust, but do have some sloppy welds. I wouldn't load this bar full and deadlift with uncontrolled drops but I use a barbell for that so I don't have to worry about the welds. For my use it's a good value.
Easy to assemble, large, and very sturdy. It is slightly unbalanced without weights - probably a result of the need for assembly
Does the job, I can do my trapbar deadlifts, mine came with spacers between the grip area and weights so there is room for your hand to grip the handles.
I am not a hardcore powerlifter but I do deadlifts as compound workout for cycling.
Comparing this to when I dead lift with a normal Olympic bar, CON: I feel the raised handle on this prevents you from squatting deep for the lift, PRO: because you don't have to squat deep I feel it's easier to have good form for your back as you lift.
Looks great put together and was packaged great but paint still scratched up in packaging
Great trap bar! Easily assembled and solid.
Bought this for doing squats because my ankle has been in a car wreck and isn’t ??. Would totally recommend this bar for people like me
For as lightweight as it is (30 lbs, whereas more well-known brands start at 40+ lbs), this is a well-designed and constructed hex bar. I'm short with stocky legs, so to get a deeper squat I stack some carpet squares as a "platform." I use the same carpet squares for the floor of my home gym, so I had leftovers lying around anyway, and this makes it very easy to adjust/add to the height as I build my strength for deeper lifts. The distribution of the weight allows me to lift more with a neutral grip than I can with a standard barbell, and the nice flat base makes it easy to drop without worrying it'll tilt and trip me or anything wacky like that. Max load is 500# (so 530# total), so for the average home gym this is perfect for the price! Highly recommend :)
Things I like:
-Easy to load. You don’t need a jack.
-Great central weight distribution. Saves your back compared to a straight bar.
-25 lb unloaded weight. Makes the math easy!
-Great price. I got the white one for $59.00
Things I don’t like:
-Handles feel a little wide set. Could be standard for hex bar. I don’t know.
-Range of motion. You need a small box for full ROM. But that’s the price for easy loading.
In a nutshell. I love the bar. Easy to load, easy to lift safely, easy on the wallet!
I wish the handles were slightly smaller because I have small hands, but doing squats with this doesn't hurt my shoulders like using a barbell and can safely add higher weights. Very sturdy also and was super easy to assemble.
Easy to assemble and great fit
Does exactly what it is supposed to
This product has held up well for us and has been a great addition to our set up. It has made deadlifting much easier to maintain good back posture and proper form!
Love it - absolutely a good investment on the physical training equipment and for the price as well
Good quality, seems sturdy and easy to assemble
Not much to put together, it's a great price and performs as expected. Only wish that it had a little Better grip when your hands are sweaty. After working out, it's hard to hold straight metal. A little tap would be nice. Overall, I give it 5 stars good deal.
Getting older and I am 6'3" and squats we hurting my back. Started using the hex bar and it changed everything. This product is well made and really does the job. If your squatting over 500 lbs, you may want a heavy duty hex bar that will cost much more, but if you are like the rest of us, this hex bar is perfect.
The brands of weights that I noticed that go on this hexbar are ethos & cast iron. If you have rogue bumper weights or crumb bumper plates, they won’t fit.
?Amazing price great product!
Affordable and works as expected. Great addition for a home gym.
Makes it very easy to do deadlifts.
Just being a casual user of gym equipment I much prefer this type of bar of a straight bar for dead lifts. It just feels safer to me and I feel like I am less likely to hurt my back. I would assume that is because the weights are now more center on my body rather than ever so slightly forward with a straight bar. Since I feel safer using this I now do dead lifts much more often. The assembly of the bar was simple. The craftsmanship seems of high quality. The space in the middle of the bar to stand seems sufficient for an adult. I do not touch any part of the bar other than the hand holds when lifting; the hex part of the bar does not get in the way. I highly recommend this hex bar.
Pros: cheap, easy to load.
Cons: not much room for plates, sits higher off the ground that conventional deadlift.
Overall: I really bought these for loaded carries and shrugs, not deadlifts so it is perfect for me. The most I've had on it is 285, and it works fine. I wouldn't hesitate to put on more (if I wasn't a weakling).
Obviously not top of the line but built for the home gym and works well.
This item isn't the greatest options but it's the best option for the price. Happy with my purchase.
Muy buen producto, excelente precio y llegó a tiempo.
The Compact Olympic Barbell is a fantastic addition to any home gym setup. With its excellent specifications and thoughtful design features, it delivers a high-quality workout experience that is both comfortable and effective
Got it on sale. Mine came with rusted out hardware. Luckily I used some washers I had some laying around, but the rusted screws and bolts are in mine. I loaded up 425 pounds, did a few sets, and it seemed to take it okay with minimal bending. I wouldn’t pay full price for this this thing though.
This is not the best trap bar on the market…. And its $50 price tag should have made that clear. This bar is great for the price and does everything I wanted a trap bar for. I would absolutely recommend this product.
Very functional for price.
Sturdy material. Easy to assemble
I'm loving this lime green color! I bought this with a coupon code but even without it, it was worth the money! its high quality and looks good.
Got this for my husband, he uses it in the basement gym 3 days a week
I am very happy with my purchase very high-quality for a great price
?This has been great for helping my daughter keep her form as she works through some back issues. Right now she is doing none or light weight with multiple reps and she loves it. Perfect size, not terribly bulky and easily lean it up against the wall and out of the way when no in use.
Love it! you can use it for other work outs! add in for a heavy leg day.
As soon as I opened the box and grabbed the equipment to assemble, I was surprised by the material quality and sturdiness! I've been in the many gyms and lifting many years and this is a very good piece of equipment for your home gym! I would recommend it to others! Easy to assemble, 17mm wrenches and sockets are required! Lifting height is not adjustable, legs are fully welded.
Works great, better than a regular dead lifts . Easier on my back . Was easy to put together.
Don’t let price fool you. It assembles easy. Built well. It good enough to bang around in the home gym. It’s no frills , does what it supposed to do.
Well built, perfect for home gyms.
Great product at a great price. Can't beat it
If it went slightly closer to the ground it would be perfect.
I read that some people couldn't get theirs together. I'm not super good at these things and mine went together without any swear words or wrench throwing. I put it together and tightened it up slowly, everything is level and snug. I bought the white one for $63 I have no complaints. The black one is back in stock for $53 at the time of this writing, and it would be a steal at that price. Works great for shrugs, deadlifts, and if you elevate yourself on a box, you can squat with it. I like that it keeps weight off the spine. I purchased mine to help strengthen my glutes and lower back. I also bought a Yesoul curling bar for hip thrusts. While Yesoul products are cheap and maybe not the nicest you can get, I don't understand why anyone would pay top dollar for a brand name... its not like you're taking these out anywhere. Nobody is going to see them, and they perform just as well as something more expensive.
My son loves this! It works great for his workouts and is sturdy enough for what he needs. Perfect as described so far!
Does what I need. Not as solid or sturdy as a one piece, but for the price, it's perfect.
Bought this to practice deadlifts, assembly took less than 30 minutes. It’s pretty solid. Use metal plates, they slightly scratch the bars due to burrs, but other than that it’s a great addition to any home gym!
Easy setup love it
This was very easy to install and I must say it's pretty durable. I've gone up to 315lbs (6x45) with it no issues and I use it 3 times a week.
This product is phenomenal!!!!! Definitely worth the money.
Great product for my home gym!!!!
So far so ???? good
The bar is well made for the money and offers a host of exercises. I should have bought one years ago.
This seems like a manufacturer tolerance specification issue, which happens with lower quality equipment.
Essentially one of the sides will not accept a standard plate. It is close to 51mm instead of the industry standard 50mm. The only fix will be to sand down the powdercoating. One side fits great. I had to trim down the plastic end tube Yesouls on both sides. Not a big deal.
We will see if the company gets back to me and can send a new part. They sent a new end to fix the issue. Works great for the price.
A couple of scratches but that don’t matter. Very sturdy I’ll update in about a month. But it looks awesome
I only give it 4 stars because I got this for about $50. Hard to beat that price. However, if full price I would not recommend. The instructions were trash. If you followed their instructions it definitely doesn’t assemble it correctly. Luckily this isn’t a very difficult piece of equipment to assemble. Also one of the included clips broke the 3rd time I used it. But the clips are made of cheap plastic so not surprised. Overall it gets the job done, but at full price I’d look elsewhere.

So easy to build, took me about 15 mins on my own.
+Killer for trap bar deadlift
+Easy to build
-Have to build it but not bad
-Can't hold a ton of bumper plates. I can only load up to 290 which is high-rep range for me.
Not the best but very durable and should last with proper care for years to come. Definitely worth a look and a great price too.
My original Trap Bar is an old original Al Gerard Trap Bar (he's a powerlifter from the 1980's and the original inventor of the Trap Bar. Google "Al Gerard Trap Bar" to see a picture of it). It's wide, clunky, and not free-standing, so I bought this Bar). I have had this hex Trap Bar for a few weeks now, and I am very pleased with it. I read that some people had problems assembling the bar. You will need to assemble the Bar loosely before tightening everything down. With items like this, always expects that not all holes will line up exactly perfect. I installed all of the bolts, washers, and nuts, and then tightened everything down. It's solid as a rock. The bar comes with two, thick rubber spacers (one on each side) to space the weight plate away from the handle. The spacers are about the same size and thickness as a typical chrome-plated lock collar. This still doesn't allow for enough space to easily wrap lifting straps around the handles, so I added two old lock collars I had lying around. They work perfect. I recommend this bar.
A great home workout tool!

Good product for the price. Easy to assemble. Does the job well BUT you might get 1 or 2 used parts.

Love that this is a lighter piece of equipment. East to put together and sturdy.
I have this for my home gym where I don't really go above 315 much and it does well for that. I would trust it to 405 but probably not much more. However, for the price at home I gave it 5.
Would have liked to see the grips on the bar not be smooth.
I have a limited space home gym in my garage with a power cage and it's a bit of a PITA to remove the olympic barbell from within the cage to use for deadlifts, and I wasn't sure I wanted to spend a lot for another barbell just for deadlifts so I tried out a trap bar during a Black Friday sale. This works great and is easy to load, albeit with a different range of motion needed since your hands are in different locations so you have to rely on a proper hinge technique for your lifts. Also the trap bar is lighter than a 7 foot barbell so you have to adjust your weight additions to compensate. There is limited hand space between the plates and the grips but I have medium sized hands and the include spacer works well for me. I also don't lift crazy heavy so this trap bar should last me a lifetime and be okay for my kids too since I will never need to put 5 plates of anything on it. This is a good VALUE buy for my home gym and I'm not a pro lifter, but this does fulfill a specific strength need for me and my family and I'm glad I bought it. Well made, easy assembly, and fast delivery made this a worthwhile buy, even at regular prices. Highly recommend this!
Does not sit evenly on the ground.
Well made and was fairly simply to assemble. Stand is nice but reduces rom a tad but not to much and you could easily flip it over if needed. Great value.
This thing is top grade. It is strong and is easy to assemble. It makes my workout much easier.
Easy to assemble and works well for the Average Joe with a home gym in the garage.
I had never used a trap bar and bought this b/c it was on sale at AMZN for <$60. It goes together easily and is reasonably sturdy for a beginner. NOTE: The one thing I did not pay attention to is that the stand, or lift or whatever you call it, puts the bars several inches higher than other trap bars. Not the end of the world as you can just plop some boards or rubber pads into the middle to "lower" the height of the bars. But something for new buyers to be aware of. Anyway, a pretty good bargain for just starting out with this particular style of weight lifting
My wife and I love it. It helps keep good form and not as easy to hurt back as a normal deadlift.
Very sturdy. One of the sides is very tight and nearly had to pound the weight on.
This bar is very well made and a heck of a price!! Easy to assemble with a ratchet/wrench. Glad I bought it!
Happy with it for the money. The red bars were welded together slightly off but went together fine and will work, the only improvement I would make is to add knurling to the grip area. They did add spacers on the plate bar so the weights won't hit your hands.
Overall happy with it.
Great for the money, love it overall. Now I can DL without a back injury! 2 cons IMO, ROM is could be better like other trap bars, it sits too high compared to others out there. 2nd NEED KNURLING! With any decent weight (275+lbs), it slips after 2-3 reps for me.
Easy to put together and a well made product, very sturdy
Workout pads from home depot fit in the center allowing you to squat lower. Lifting pretty heavy and its sturdy. Would recommend especially on sale.
Pretty good sturdy bar. We use it a good bit and drop it often and is still holding up after a few months.
For the money, you can't beat this bar. Puts a lot less strain on my back versus doing it with a barbell.
Perfect addition to our home gym. Easy to assemble and sturdy.
The product part you received is disassembled, please assemble according to the image.
